Wood Lover’s Event
I attended and displayed my work at the Wood Lover’s event held over Thanksgiving weekend at Upper Canada Village. Gathered there for the event were people who use wood in all kinds of interesting ways - carvers, boat builders, turners, a marquetry maker, a guilder, and of course a few luthiers!

I gave a short talk to answer the question I am most frequently asked, “What makes a violin great?”

Oskar Graf and Michael Sankey, guitar makers from eastern Ontario, also attended the event.

It was a crisp and clear autumn at Upper Canada Village, right on the St. Lawrence River, and was a fantastic way to spend the weekend.
